They can never make money.. They are hoping for help to drop from the sky... Like TM, AXIATA, DIGI or MAXIS was forced to buy them up...

A lot of hype in the media but broadband market belongs to the big players.
They are never a rival to TM,AXIATA,DIGI,MAXIS.

Hard to say. On one hand, its current price is reasonable enough. However, I don't see much chance of a significant capital gain in the next few months... unless if it announces something juicy concerning its business.
It's trying to get into the telco business. Although its phone rates are attractive, it's a very tough proposition competing against giants like TM and the cellular companies. And YTL Power's YES is also trying to get in.
But I wouldn't totally discount GP just yet. If it can get a break - create a killer internet- or phone-based service or tie up with one of the giants, then its future will be bright.

It has been 16 month of losing money, for the past 2 quarter showing ETIDA positive.
Starting September 2012 subsidary Ingen has being appointed as distributor for P1 new mobile. Can it be positive ?
Ok...still holding and wait for next quarter result to see ant improvement.

One way to determine whether G Packet has financial future is to do a rough survey of the broadband services offered by the company. Is the P1 broadband speed fast compared to other rivals such as Maxis, DIGI and Celcom? Is the price competitive enough? What are the comments of the existing P1 users? would they recommend the service to others? Based on the answers of these survey question, one can gauge the viability of the services and hence the profitability. speculating and worrying about the future of the company would not do any good.
I am not a resident of KL and do not have the feel of P1 services. I would love to have some feed back form KL folks and existing P1 users.

I've been a P1 subscriber since April 2011. Before that I was using Celcom Mobile Broadband (RM69/mth) when in Pasir Mas, Kelantan. Then in Batang Kali, Kepong and Kota Damansara. When I married, I decided to consolidate our internet connections (my wife had also used Celcom - the RM98/mth package).
We got the (then) RM169/mth WiFi package that came with a wifi router for the home (for 5 users) and mobile modem; 30 GB quota. This package is now RM149. I must say that although we had thought about changing to YES, Unifi, Maxis, we never did make the move. One of the reasons is P1's flexibility. It's not as fast as Unify, of course, and at peak hours the service can get slow. But on the whole, we are satisfied enough with it.
By the way, when I visit my parents in Alor Star, I would just take the router with me and provide internet service for all of us:-) It doesn't cover the whole of peninsular Malaysia but if it covers the areas that you frequent, then I'd say it's good enough.

Thank you for the info ....
i also received feed back from friend saying it positive. They said at the beginning is useless and lot of problem but now a lot of improvement.
P1 coverage will be extended to East Malaysia starting Sepetember 2012.
Ok then as i said earlier, just keep the share for medium term.

It has already been here in East Malaysia. I received their promotional brochures at my home mail box. I have also made an enquiry about it in their office, the staff said their system is 4G, cannot be compared to Wifi or other broadband system, theirs is absolutely newest, better and faster. In time to come, they maybe able to see some profit uplifted,...

Thank you guys for the feedback on P1 broadband service. It sounds to me P1 is not too bad. Perhaps, with some promotion and innovation, P1 might be able to take off in the not-too-distant future. P1 is actually wimax-based, supposed to be the latest 4G broadband with very high speed. Looks like P1 is not very much different from 3G services.
Investment in Telcos has very long gestation period; it may take more a decade before one can see any profits. However, when the subscribers base crosses the critical mass level, the revenue will roll in very big way, like DIGI. Perhaps there is hope for GPacket to turn around in the next few years.

Greenpacket Solution launched industry’s first Dual Mode LTE & WiMAX
Indoor Modem.
Greenpacket Solution secured software key customer – Cable Vision (fifth
largest US cable operator) and others.
I think above product will bring positive income for GPB in coming quarters...
So its best just hold the stock at the current price...more potential to be upside than downside.

Congratulation!Your long waited patience really pays off now...There were offers from big guys like TM and others to buy GP. Probably this is the cause of recent price soar... But be careful, the upsurg is very unusual. Must keep watch everyday to take profit before it plums.

Any latest news of this stock? Looking at their financial report, it seem that they are having a high operating cost, and resulted loss in book. Compared with YTLE and Redtone, it seem like YTLE is doing better with higher profit margin.
