On Friday, UEM Sunrise Bhd (UEMS:KLS) closed at 0.45, 63.64% above the 52 week low of 0.275 set on Mar 19, 2020.

Price rises above 50-day moving average to 0.460. If price can sustain above MA50, next target 0.560

There are about 2 dozen large property companies (those with SHF > RM 1b) on Bursa Malaysia. The gross profitability (gross profits/total assets) for the sector as per my article Will the Malaysian Property industry turn around by 2024? is shown in the Chart below.

You can see that the sector gross profitability had been declining since 2014. The good sign is that we seem to have reached the bottom.

The large companies mean gross profitability from 2011 to 2022 averaged 8%. In contrast, UEMS had a average gross profitability of 5%. So would you consider this a good performance?

Hi everyone, ive done some analysis on UEM Sunrise and their future prospect. Though Johor landbank provides a lot of optimism, there are still issues with their balance sheet as well as their strategy to manoeuvre overhang in Johor.
