Dato' Lim Tai Soon is one of the pioneers of the Malaysian animal health industry. Dato' Lim is the Executive Chairman of the Lintrachem group of companies which he founded in 1983 to import and distribute animal health products and equipment for poultry and livestock. The group has since exited the animal health business and currently focuses on property development and investment.

Dato' Lim holds the esteemed position of founding President for the Malaysia Animal Health and Nutrition Association (MAHNiA). As President, he dedicated 16 years to representing and advocating for the interests of the local animal health and nutrition industry. He also continues to contribute as the Honorary Life President of MAHNiA.

Dato' Lim has also served the broader business community through his active participation in the Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry Malaysia. As a Council Member, he played a pivotal role as the Deputy Chairman of the Commerce Committee for six years. 

Dato' Lim served as a Council Member of the Malaysia-China Chamber of Commerce until the year 2016. 

Dato' Lim is active in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KLSCCCI). Dato' Lim was the Deputy Chairman of KLSCCCI Agriculture Committee from 2006 - 2012 and Chairman of KLSCCCI Education Committee from 2012 - 2018. Dato' Lim has been an engaged as a Council Member of KLSCCCI since the year 2000 until present. Dato' Lim also serves as an Advisor to the KLSCCCI Education Committee and the committee for the Malaysian Chinese Literature Award.
