Datuk Tan Hong Lai has more than 30 years of experience in the property development and quantity surveying industries. He is a Registered Member of the Board of Quantity Surveyors, Malaysia, a Member of the Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (RISM) and a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, UK (RICS).
Datuk Tan Hong Lai began his career in 1991 as a quantity surveyor ("QS") with JUB Padu Sdn Bhd before joining Perunding AT Sdn Bhd as Director in 1995. In 1997, he founded THL Consultants, a professional QS firm, and is currently the Principal of the firm.
In 2007, Datuk Tan Hong Lai founded Green Target Holdings Sdn Bhd ("Green Target Group"), a property development company. Under his leadership, the Green Target Group has successfully developed and delivered multiple projects within the residential, commercial and industrial segment with a total gross development value of approximately RM3 billion to RM4 billion. The Green Target Group has also received numerous awards for its property development projects, including Best Property Single Unit in Malaysia (for Greenhill Residence in Shah Alam, Selangor) and Best Retail Development Malaysia (for Mesamall in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan) in 2016.
Datuk Tan Hong Lai is currently the Vice President of the Malaysia-Guangdong Chamber of Investment Promotion. In this capacity, he is involved in promoting exchange and cooperation between Malaysian and Guangdong business communities. |
